This
versatile addition to the Wayfinder range takes the place of both our 76
mm and 100 mm round posts, thanks to its capabilities for strengthening
with off the shelf aluminium flat bar or rectangular hollow section
(depending on required strength).
Panels are retained in a
new accompanying extrusion which when flipped round is used as an infill
to the post slots on areas without panels. The panels themselves no longer
require fabrication as any 6 mm thick panel can be used, be it aluminium,
foamex, acrylic or timber. Face panels can now be very easily CNC cut to
allow features such as arched or apex tops etc.
Another
capability of this new extrusion is that there is a second post slot
available. As the vast majority of post and panel signs are of the typical
two post configuration, the second slot has been designed to be routered
open as required. This allows construction of triple (or more) post
signs.
This whole concept of this new post was
that the majority of post and panel signs are quite small, and therefore
some post systems are over-designed, adding unnecessary cost. Our system
works in reverse, where we can design upwards as
required. |
