Highlight is an extruded aluminium trough lighting system which over the past twenty years has illuminated many thousands of shop fascias and billboards across the UK, and beyond. By January, 2010, Highlight Mk.4 will have replaced both Highlight T8 and T5. This new profile has been designed in order to satisfy the growing demand for more efficient and more compact lighting. Highlight was the first ever made to measure extruded aluminium overhead lighting system available, dating back to 1983. Over that period we have an unblemished record for quality, service and reliability, so much so that we have carried forward our clip-on fit fixing bracket system, which after 20 years of production is well tried and tested, and still looking good. We have however added a clip-on fit wave shape fixing bracket to add some extra style, while offering a space saving rear fixing plate of just 60 mm tall. Highlight Mk.4 will offer four variations of illumination, three of which are LED based, and the other one based around T8 fluorescent lamps. We feel confident that we can now cater for all levels of price, budget and green credentials, while offering unmatched brightness and performance. Further information on the Highlight system, including photographs and scaled drawings can be accessed by clicking the links directly below. GENERAL INFORMATION: SYSTEM VARIATIONS: |

The origin of the Spectra signcase system dates back to the end of 1971. The die print confirms that Alcan produced a die for the extrusion in May, 1972, making it one of the first extruded aluminium signcases in the UK. At that time, the system was known as Strata, the rights to which were owned by H. Astley & Co. Although thirty years have now passed, and the system has received many modifications, the basic construction has remained the same: utilising captive bolts for assembly, which offers superior strength compared to systems which rely on pop rivets, while also allowing for re-adjustment. When Insight purchased The Signcase and Lighting Company, along with all the registered designs from H. Astley & Co. several years ago, the aim was to develop this signcase system to cover a wide range of applications. This has been achieved, making the Spectra Multi Signcase System unique in utilising a family of extrusions to produce signcases of many styles and configurations to suit almost any application. Insight provides a made to measure service, offering fully made up
cases to any exact size, powder coated to most RAL colours. Prices are
very compeititive, quality very high. Further information on the Spectra system, including photographs and scaled drawings can be accessed by clicking the links directly below. GENERAL INFORMATION: SYSTEM VARIATIONS: |

The Wayfinder directional sign system caters to requirements for external directional signs such as post and panel signs or directional signs. Our Multi-post system allows construction of post and panel signs and utilises 6 mm thick aluminium panels which can easily be cut to required sizes and even shapes with ease. Fingerpost is used to construct single post signs with directional ‘finger/arrow’ panels. Also part of the Wayfinder system is Mono Clic Frame, used for internal clip frame signs housing posters etc. Further information on the Wayfinder system, including photographs and scaled drawings can be accessed by clicking the links directly below. Please note that stocks of the Mono-Curve curved face monolith system have run down and we are not planning on reordering at present, although more could be ordered for large orders with sufficient lead-time. Bespoke products from Insight have been produced for many years, yet we did not advertise the fact that we had the capabilities and machinery to produce such a wide range and variation of sign products, from a simple folded sign panel to a very complex totem sign. Over the past two years the demand for non-standard signs has grown 100% and we are finding that no matter how many new and innovative extrusions we design to service the sign trade, designers working for the major retailers usually request a non-standard product. We do our very best to produce something catering to their requirement utilising our standard range of extrusions, alongside fabricated metalwork. Bespoke products normally start out with a CAD drawing for the client which, if suitable, can be quickly converted into a prototype. This lets them show their client how the new sign will look before commencing with the actual signs. We are continuing to invest heavily in all the latest CNC metal work equipment which will allow us to produce high quality innovative one-off or multiple designs. By August 2008 we will have added the very latest CNC metal folding system which not only produces complex folded shapes, but also radius and octagonal shapes which can then be incorporated into folded sign panels, side columns etc. We will also benefit from a very fast CNC punching machine which will quickly punch many shapes in our bespoke components. A tube bending machine will allow us to product arch-top free-standing signs, circular sign cases etc. For more information, and to see some example photographs of bespoke products we have made, please click here. |

Lumirescent is a new brand of lighting products researched and developed by Insight Sign Systems in conjunction with one of China's leading lighting companies. Lumirescent Light Strip is a self-adhesive backed, flexible PCB strip housing SMD LEDs (light emitting diodes). It can be used to illuminate anything from a back-lit poster, sign box or built-up lettering, to edge lighting, or even decorative or architectural displays. It can be used in situations where traditionally fluorescent lamps or neon tubes would be used, and due to its flexibility and compact size can also be used in many other unique ways. Running costs are substantially less than fluorescent or neon. Lumirescent Light Strip comes in a 5,000 mm long, 8-10 mm wide (depending on specification) strip, backed with 3M VHB self-adhesive tape, wound on a reel. Three specifications are available to suit differing requirements of brightness versus economy, named Medium, Bright and Superbright. The strip can be trimmed to match space requirements, at designated cutting points marked after each group of three LEDs. This, along with the flexible nature of the strip allows it to be used in many more ways than rigid or fixed size systems. It is also possible to have the strip fitted with a silicone sleeve which allows it to be used in exposed situations. GENERAL INFORMATION: SYSTEM VARIATIONS: |

Fabricated Stainless Steel Letters |
|
Insight now offers high quality built-up stainless steel letters to any style (artwork required), illuminated or non-illuminated. We only use premium grade stainless and can offer various colours and grains. All we ask is the chance to quote. We will then send you a sample letter at a refundable cost before first order. When you see the quality, we assure you that you will be amazed. This is because the faces are cut by water jet, which leaves the edges polished to match the face of the material. Our soldering techniques are to a very high standard and our fixing methods are to suit the requirement. We hope to include more information and photographs on the fabricated stainless steel letters page (click here) soon. |
