Over the rest of this year, we are phasing out mill finish profiles, replacing them with anodised AA5 non-sealed. This is to improve our health and safety, by cutting out the requirement to use etch primer, as AA5 can be powder coated direct, without any further process than cleaning. This provides excellent adhesion for powder coating and saves our plant 20 hours per week in preparation and etching, thus more production. Please note: AA5 is not to be confused with AA25 Sealed, which can be used for outdoor use - AA5 will corrode if not coated. Also, our price for mill finish will vary until we have all sections in AA5. What this means is that when you purchase a product for self-coating, you will have no preparation other than cleaning to carry out before coating.
