This page contains information on procedures involved in fitting Lumirescent LED strip and drivers, and assumes that you have already read the document Suitable Use of Lumirescent Strip, ascertaining that Lumirescent strip is suitable for your intended use, and that you have purchased the correct quantity for the job in hand.

The first step of the installation process will be to cut your Lumirescent strip to the required lengths you worked out when purchasing (link to document with info titled something like 'how much do I need?'?!?).
   You can trim Lumirescent strip at cutting points (denoted by a dotted line between the copper connection pads) marked every three LED's as shown on the photo (click photo to enlarge).

Lumirescent strip has 3M VHB tape to the rear, which we think is the best suited tape for sign use to ensure the bond stays secure.
   Before bonding, you will have to trim the VHB tape at each end to prepare it for the connectors to be fitted later (see this PDF document).
   In order to achieve a secure bond the manufacturers directions must be followed in preparing the surface before affixing the tape to it.
   Once your surface is prepared, remove the protective backing from the VHB tape and affix the strip in position.
